Remediation Australasia is a quarterly magazine produced by the Australian Remediation Industry Cluster (ARIC) for the Australasian remediation edition of Remediation Australasia. It has been shown by Falatko & Novak that such biologically produced surfactants are effective in increasing the solubility of petroleum hydrocarbons. Such increase in solubility would enhance the transfer of the residual hydrocarbons into the aqueous phase, and provides an explanation for the trend in the relative proportions of the individual.
